## Bed Controller
### Features
* Controls the inclination of an adjustable bed using a motor controller
* ADXL345 accelerometer to measure and track bed angle
* LCD display showing current and desired position
* Status LED for visual feedback
* Home Assistant integration with controls for:
* Setting desired position percentage
* Setting upper and lower angle limits
* Adjusting accuracy tolerance
* Controlling motor speed
### Files
| File | Description |
|-------------------------------|--------------------------------|
| [bed-controller2.yaml](https://github.com/jdillenburg/esphome/blob/main/bed-controller2.yaml) | ESPHome code for bed angle controller |
| [components/adxl345](components/adxl345) | ADXL345 external component for measuring bed angle |
### Parts List
* ESP32-C3-DevKitM-1 board
* ADXL345 accelerometer - mounted under the bed frame
* 12V motor with motor controller (requires PWM inputs)
* LCD display with PCF8574 I2C adapter (16x2)
* WS2812 RGB LED for status indication
### Hook Up
1. Connect GPIO4 and GPIO5 to the motor controller's forward and reverse PWM inputs
2. Connect GPIO6 and GPIO7 to the motor controller's enable pins
3. Connect the ADXL345 accelerometer via I2C (SDA to GPIO0, SCL to GPIO1)
4. Connect the LCD display via I2C (address 0x27, same I2C bus as the accelerometer)
5. Connect assumes RGB LED connected to GPIO8 for status indication. My ESP32 had this built-in.
### Software Install
Add the ADXL345 external component to your configuration:
```yaml
